Here is the second half of our opinions of the characters in Brawl, enjoy.

Ness
fink: I have never really gotten good with Ness and I really couldn’t care less. He has some sweet moves (love that bat and yoyo) but the rest is just ok. Final Smash is also looking pretty weak and easily avoidable
allonby: Ness scares me. No, really. Not the character itself, but the fact that anyone who can actually play with him seems to be able to pound my ass into the ground. Luckily there are only 2 people who can actually play as him, and I can take solace in the fact that they live in their parents basement. Also, YoYo FTW!!

Peach
fink: I fucking love hitting people with that frying pan and while at first look her final smash looks weak, it makes people fall asleep which means free hit with frying pan/golf club/tennis racket which makes me very happy.
allonby: Ah, Peach… How I love the way you float about tossing turnips at all who dare question your place as sole sovereign ruler of mushroom kingdom. Even going so far as to “show ‘em the toad” if they step further out of line, asking whatever happened to King and Queen Peach. I truly admire your choice of weaponry as you continue your revisionist crusade to hide the true history of the bloody military coup which lead to your seizing power, and the throne. All hail General.. er, I mean “Princess” Peach. (zomg frying pan, lawlz)

Pikachu
fink: Always fucking annoying, always will be. I can guarantee that if I play random players online, many 8 year-olds will kick my ass with Pikachu and I will hate this electric rat even more.(Penny Arcade has been nice enough to provide a graphic representation of my feelings about Pikachu)
allonby: I HATE this thing. This constant burning rage tears at my bowls like a badger fucking a watermelon filled with chocolate pudding. Anyhow, this rat thing has plagued me since the original smash, I’m glad to see his return if only for the perverse pleasure I glean from tearing his little yellow ass to little yellow shreds. Final smash looks cool too.

Pikmin & Olimar
fink: I am incredibly interested in how this character will actually play. Different Pikmin = different moves/powers. Also, a character based on throwing aliens at other characters has to be awesome.
allonby: Being the only person in my city to actually own not just the first but /both/ pikmin games, I believe I was the only one to fully realize how awesome this character was going to be immediately upon seeing his name show up in the lists. He is going to offer some of the most unique gameplay of all the characters. The mechanic of having to constantly pull pikmin from the ground and balance between using them as weapons and literally shortening your life line will really be an interesting twist. My Pikmans, let me shows you them.

Pit
fink: Fucking awesome. Another flying character with a sword? Fuck yeah. Can’t wait to play as Pit
allonby: I, sadly, must admit that I have never played Kid Icarus. Yes, it’s true. Regardless, the moment Pit was announced I got an erection. The combination bow/swords coupled with his down B potentially being like Fox’s reflector, AND the ability to fly… So… beautiful… they should have sent a poet. wakka wakka =P

Pokémon Trainer
fink: Another interesting new character but my lack of love for Pokemon makes me less excited. However, having an excuse to say “My Pokemon’s, let me show you them” in a creepy voice is always good.
allonby: You bastard Fink, you stole my line!! And it’s /PokeMANS/, noobsauce. lawl. This is another welcome addition to the fray, new game mechanics to try out, and a built in variety of play styles the likes of which were previously unheard of. I mean, zelda/sheik is one thing, but having 3 of em? rocketsauce.

R.O.B.
fink: I think this character will be a dissapointment. His final smash looks weak as hell and with little other info go on at this point, I’m thinking ROB will be weak.
allonby: I can’t believe they did this. Granted he is an Iconic figure for Nintendo, but he was only compatible with like 2 games. Why didn’t they just put a Power Glove on one of the Master Hands? Actually that’d be pretty cool, getting to beat up a power glove…hrmmm… Anyway, I’ve seen next to nothing on this character but, based on the track record, I can only assume he’ll end up being fun to play. Updates are likely to come.

Samus/Zero Suit Samus
fink: Samus has always been an awesome character and now, after a devastating final smash, we get Zero Suit Samus. Can’t wait to try Samus out in her new form.
allonby: This is going to rock my bloody nuts off! Sheik was my character before so this has me going bat shit crazy. I love the Metroid games (woot Metroid assist trophy!), possibly to an unhealthy level, but Samus has never been my main, I’ve found her lacking in versatility in the smash games. This could change everything. Go play Zero mission you jackasses!

Snake
fink: Likely to be another fast character that people will use whoop my ass, should be fun to play with, especially with the grenade launcher final smash.
allonby: Bletch. Damn Snake. Everyone seems to love the Metal Gear Solid games, I like the first one, hell, I even liked Metal Gear (you play that one PS3 whore? Fail!), but 3 was more movie than game and I’m not interested in playing “MGS4:Snake needs Viagra”. I read somewhere that he is actually one of the slowest characters in the game, but he hits insanely hard. I’ll have to play him before I pass judgement. One thing I am sure of is that I will /really/ enjoy kicking the shit out of him.

Sonic
fink: My goal for the new smash bros is to get ridiculously good with Sonic. His speed mixed with his attacked will be great and there is no way he won’t be fun to play with (that sounded less dirty in my head)
allonby: Hell yes. You will all hate me soon. Fuck Alex Kidd, Sonic is where it’s at. Again, Shiek being my main has made me a big fan of fast characters, and Sonic is set to be number 1 in that department.

Star Wolf
fink: Will likely be a slower, more powerful Fox which means, slower, more powerful cunt…fuck.
allonby: Hopefully Wolf’s fighting style is distinct enough from Falco and Fox’s to keep me interested. I read somewhere that he seems to be the most perfectly balanced ass kicking cunt. These qualities should prove useful.

Toon/Wind Waker Link
fink: My love for Link means I will love this cell shaded clone and his moves will differ a little because of the Twilight Princess parts of Link but really nothing new.
allonby: A fair trade for young link, I’m glad his bombs still blowup all cartoony like in windwaker. Celda 0wn j00!

Wario
fink: I have always despised Wario because of people using him in Mario Kart and his annoying fucking laugh. The only interest I have in Wario is punting his fat ass off every level.
allonby: Wario?! Wario?! Ima gonna win! .. What a messed up character. Have you read this guys move list? Motor cycles? Farts? Eats garlic and… WarioMan? Drop dem bombs you crazy fuck, drop dem bombs.

Yoshi
fink: I fucking hate Yoshi. What the fuck is that annoying noise he makes? Dying counts sound better then Yoshi and they also probably have an up-B move that actually does something better then firing a worthless egg.
allonby: I loved yoshi. In SNES super mario world. Him and his multicolored brothers kept my ass alive. In smash the only thing I’ve ever found him useful for was that down air fan kick thing he has, it worked great for building up damage on the sandbag before a swing. Actually no, I take that back, if you can execute it properly, there are few things more satisfying than putting someone in an egg and pooping them out off the edge. It all comes back to poop.

Zelda/Sheik
fink: This was the best new character in Melee because of the mix of power with Zelda with the speed of Sheik. Happy to see that Zelda is back in both forms in Brawl.
allonby: Ah, my Baby. Looks like they’ve tweaked her a bit, Sheik is apperently slower(NO!!!!) and has less of an air game(NOOOOO!!!) this time around. To balance that out, Zelda’s ground game has improved quite a great deal (YES!!!) and specials are both more powerful(YES!!!) and maneuverable(YESSSS!). I very much like her final smash. While I talk big about other final smashes that aren’t huge one hit kill things, in the end, that’s what a really want in a final smash. Light Arrow. Zelda delivers. Big fan of the new models as well. Rawr.
