Note: This is a rant and is meant in no way, shape or form to end any discussions about anything. These rants are meant to start discussion and (hopefully) open some minds to new ideas. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people? During my failed attempt to get Super Tuesday results while avoiding over the top and needlessly in depth news channel analysis, I overhead several pundits addressing the issue that John McCain isn’t really a conservative. Furthermore, some of these people called him a liberal. This unfathomably ignorant discussion was spurred by some conservative talk show hosts and critics saying that they would rather see Hilary Clinton in the White House then John McCain. I have a short response for these people and a longer one; Shorter Response: You are idiots and you’re wrong.

Longer Response: To demonstrate how truly ignorant these people are, let us review John McCain’s political history while keeping in mind that the word liberal is another way of saying left wing in today’s conservative media. First, his foreign policy. John McCain is currently completely in line with the rest of Republicans in saying that they must stay in Iraq and if they leave because of a democratic president it will be like surrendering to the terrorists. He also dislikes Vladimir Putin and says that military action against Iran is always an option. Second, social issues. He is against medicare and instead favors tax cuts to help people get insurance. He has a horrible record when it comes to helping the environment. He fully supports the War on Drugs and is very pro-life. Third…you know what, fuck it. The only reason that I can come up with on why these arrogant neo-conservatives have rallied against McCain is because if he fought against Bush in the earlier part of the decade. However, he has been sucking up to Bush for the past several years so this shouldn’t matter. What’s that you say, he didn’t support Bush tax cuts? That was due to the huge deficit Bush has added to so McCain wanted taxes to help pay it down which is actually very conservative.

So what the fuck are these conservative media personalities doing? I really don’t have a clue. McCain is as much as conservative as anyone else and he is probably their best bet for beating Clinton or Obama. Hopefully these people fuck McCain’s campaign up so badly that Huckabee wins, because lets face it, he would get killed in a national election.
